D.J Kyk

Down in Gheekanta, things are always loud. We are located right in Karnavati Mall, shop 74/4 in Khoni Ni Vaas. If you’ve ever been to Ahmedabad near Madhuram Cinema, you know the vibe. It is crowded and there is always something happening. That is where D.J Kyk sits. Our space is filled with wires, speakers, and those big black boxes that weigh a ton. It’s not a fancy showroom. It’s more of a workshop where we test out the sound and make sure the bass doesn't blow the windows out. The mall is a busy spot so we see a lot of people passing by every day. We usually have something playing in the background while we work. My hands are usually dusty from moving equipment around. We don’t spend much time on the computer unless we have to. Most of our day is spent fixing cables or loading the van for a night gig. Ahmedabad gets hot, especially in the afternoon, so we mostly stay indoors until the sun goes down. We’ve been in this spot for quite a while now. Everyone around the cinema knows us as the guys with the loud speakers. It is a bit of a squeeze in the shop sometimes with all the inventory, but it works for us. We just keep it simple and focus on the gear. It isn't much, but it’s our home.
