Workout Garments

We spend most of our days here in Danilimda, right across from Moti Bakery. If you know the area near Chandola Lake, you know it gets pretty busy around here. We started Workout Garments because we wanted to make stuff people actually use when they're active. It’s not a fancy office or anything. Most of the time, the floor is covered in scrap fabric and there’s a lot of noise from the machines running. We’ve been at this spot for a while now. Some mornings, the smell of fresh bread from the bakery across the street is the only thing that keeps us moving. We deal with lots of different fabrics, trying to find things that don't fall apart after two washes. It’s a small team. We mostly just focus on getting the stitching right and making sure the sizes are what they say they are. Sometimes the power goes out, or the delivery truck gets stuck in traffic by the lake, but we manage. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to make clothes that fit well. People come by, pick up their orders, and we have a quick chat before getting back to work. It’s a regular life, really. We just keep our heads down and keep sewing until the day is done. There’s always more to do tomorrow. We’ve got a few old fans that rattle all day, but they help when it gets hot in here.
