P. M. Bhimani Orgochem Pvt. Ltd. is at 511 in the Mahakant Complex. Being on Ashram Road means we are right in the thick of the city's business. Our office is just one door down from another company with a similar name, but we handle the organic chemicals side of the work here. It gets really bright in the afternoons because the windows face a certain way, so we usually have to pull the old blinds down to see our computer screens. The office isn't very large at all. We have a few desks, some filing cabinets that don't always close right, and a small corner for making tea in the mornings. You can hear the city noises all day long, especially the sirens from the hospital across the street. Sometimes the traffic outside is so bad that it takes twenty minutes just to get out of the parking lot at the end of the day. We’ve been in this building for quite a long time now. Most of the people working here live nearby and have been with us for years. We spend our days tracking shipments and talking to the warehouse staff. It’s not a flashy setup with glass walls or modern art. It’s just a place where we sit and get the day's tasks finished. We know most of the other tenants in the building, so there is a lot of nodding and saying hello in the hallways.
