City Logistics

Our office is on the first floor of National Chambers, at No. 14. We are situated on Ashram Road, right near the Citygold Cinema. If you’ve ever been around here, you know how busy Ashram Road gets at almost any hour. We can hear the traffic and the crowds from the cinema even through the windows. City Logistics is a small operation. We handle the paperwork and coordination for moving stuff from point A to point B. It’s a lot of phone calls and checking schedules on the computer. The office itself is nothing special—just a few desks, some filing cabinets that don't always close right, and a tea kettle that’s always on. Being on the first floor is handy because we don’t have to wait for the elevator, which is usually slow anyway. We’ve been here at National Chambers for a good number of years. We know the security guards and the guys who run the tea stall downstairs. It’s a fast-paced environment because logistics never really stops. There’s always a truck delayed or a delivery that needs to be tracked. We don't use fancy software to manage everything; a lot of it is still done with notebooks and memory. It’s just how we’ve always done it. We show up, handle the calls, solve the problems that pop up, and keep things moving as best as we can in the middle of all this city chaos.
