Akshay Agrawal Architect is based in the Suyog Complex, room 152. This is on New CG Road in the Chandkheda area of Ahmedabad. A lot of people find us by looking for Sakar School because we are located right below it. It’s a good spot, quite active with students and parents coming and going all day. The office itself is pretty straightforward. We have drawing boards, computers, and a lot of rolled-up plans everywhere. Working as an architect here means dealing with a lot of local regulations and specific site conditions. It’s not always glamorous like you see on TV. Most of the time it’s just looking at site measurements and making sure the math works out. We’ve been in this part of Chandkheda for a bit and have seen the New CG Road area grow quite fast. There’s always some new shop opening up nearby. We like being part of the local mix. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s mostly word of mouth and people seeing our name on the complex directory. When someone comes in, we just sit down and talk about what they need. It’s a simple way of doing things, but it keeps us busy. We take our work seriously but the atmosphere in the office is pretty relaxed. We just try to get the drawings right and keep things moving. Every day brings something a bit different to the drawing board.
