This shop is right in Gevar Complex in Shahibaug, just a short walk from Rajasthan Hospital. We have been here for a good while now, dealing with all kinds of people who come in. Being so close to the hospital means we see many folks who are a bit worried about their family members. We keep all the usual medicines in the drawers and some provision items like soap, toothpaste, and snacks on the side shelves. It gets quite busy in the evenings when the traffic on the main road picks up. The glass counter is usually covered with prescriptions and loose change. We don't have fancy decorations, just the rows of medicine boxes and some cooling fans that stay on all day because Ahmedabad gets so hot. Sometimes we run out of a specific tablet and have to call the distributor to send it over quickly. Most of the regulars live nearby in the surrounding apartments and they just drop in to get their monthly supplies. We know most of them by face. It's a small space but we make use of every corner, even stacking some of the extra provision stock near the back door. The morning starts with dusting the glass and checking what needs to be ordered for the next day. It is just a regular local shop doing its work every day without much fuss or noise.
