Aarohanam School Of Music

We are up here on the second floor of the Sobo Centre in South Bopal. If you know the area, it's pretty busy around here, but once you come inside the school, things quiet down a bit. We started this place because we just really liked music and wanted a spot for people in Ahmedabad to come and learn. It isn't a massive hall or anything, just a few rooms where we keep the instruments and sit with students. Sometimes the lift in the building is a bit slow, so some folks just take the stairs to get to E 290. We teach different things depending on who shows up that day. Some kids come after school and some older people stop by on weekends. It gets a little noisy when everyone is practicing at once, but that is just how it goes with music. We have been in this part of South Bopal for a while now. The space works for us. We don't have fancy decorations, just chairs and the gear we need. Most people find us because they live nearby or their kids go to school around here. It is a simple setup. We spend most of our time just showing people where to put their fingers on a keyboard or how to hold a guitar. It’s a job but it’s also just what we do every day. If you are walking around Sobo Centre, you might hear us from the hallway. We have been here through many seasons now.
