V K Garments & Saree Collection

We've been at Bodla Chowraha for a while now, right near Rajput Dairy. It's a busy spot but people find us okay. Mostly we just handle a lot of different sarees and daily wear clothes for the folks around here. I started this place because I saw how hard it was to find decent fabrics without going all the way into the main city markets. It gets pretty crowded on weekends, especially when weddings are coming up. We try to keep the shelves tidy but with all the different patterns of sarees, it’s a constant job. Sometimes the stock takes a bit to arrive if the transport is slow. We just work out of this one shop and try to help people find what they need for family functions or just stuff to wear at home. It’s not a fancy showroom or anything like that. Just a regular shop with stacks of clothes and some benches to sit on while you look. My nephew helps out behind the counter most days. We know most of the people who walk through the door by name since they live just down the street. If someone wants something specific in a certain color, we write it down and see if we can get it in the next bundle. It’s a simple way of doing things but it works for us and the neighbors. We open up early and stay until the dairy next door starts winding down for the evening.
