Sridevi Store

We’ve been here at Gul Mandi for quite a while now. Most people know Sridevi Store because we’re right near the parking plot, which makes it easy for folks to drop in while they’re out doing their other errands. It’s just a regular local store, nothing too fancy or modern. We stock the basic things that people around here need every day, from household items to small bits and pieces. My family started this business, and I’ve been helping out behind the counter since I was a young kid. The shop isn’t huge by any means, but we manage to pack a lot onto the shelves. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded when a new delivery comes in or when the market is really busy on the weekends. We just try to keep things organized enough so folks can find what they’re looking for without too much of a fuss. It’s a lot of work keeping up with the inventory and checking the stock, but we’re used to the routine. The lights flicker a bit sometimes if the weather is bad, and the front door squeaks when it’s humid, but this place is like home to us. We know most of the people who walk through that door by their names. If someone needs something we don't have, we try to get it for them next time. It’s a simple way of running things. We open early and stay until the market starts to quiet down.
