Shemrock Abc

Over at 22 A, Bhagirathi Devi Marg in the Khandari area of Agra, you’ll find Shemrock Abc. It’s a smaller setup compared to the big secondary schools, mostly because we work with the little ones. The street outside is usually quiet until it’s time for drop-off or pick-up. We’ve painted the walls with some bright colors to make it look cheerful for the kids, though some of it is starting to peel here and there. That’s just life with children around. Our days are filled with nursery rhymes, drawing with crayons, and trying to get everyone to sit still for more than five minutes. It’s not always easy, but we’ve got a rhythm down. The teachers here are patient people who don’t mind getting a bit of paint on their clothes. We have a small play area where the kids can run around and burn off some energy. It’s a very local place. Most of our families live just a few streets away, so we see them at the local shops all the time. We don't have any big corporate offices or polished brochures. It’s just us in a house-like building, doing our best to look after the children while their parents are at work. We focus on the basics, like learning the alphabet and how to share toys. It’s honest work, and it keeps the neighborhood lively.
