Purwal Ladies Corner

Purwal Ladies Corner is situated on Nunhai Road, right by Shahadra Chungi in Agra. We mostly cater to the ladies in the area who need small items for their homes or for their own use. We carry stuff like hair clips, ribbons, safety pins, and some basic makeup items like lipstick and kohl. The shop is quite narrow, so we have shelves going all the way up to the ceiling to save space. I use a small wooden ladder to reach the things on the top shelves. It gets quite hot in the summer months, but we have a small table fan that keeps the air moving a little. My daughter helps me on the weekends when it gets a bit more crowded with shoppers. We know which brands and colors the local women prefer, so we try to keep those in stock as much as possible. It’s a lot of small items to keep track of every day. Sometimes I forget where I put a specific color of thread or a particular size of clip and have to look through a few different boxes. We don't have any big signs or advertisements or anything like that. The people who live nearby just know we are here. It’s a simple, honest way to make a living for us. We enjoy the daily interactions with our neighbors and the steady rhythm of the shop. We don’t have any grand plans, just keeping the shop running and having what people ask for.
