Prachi Bangles

This shop is tucked away in Radha Nagar, specifically at 32/164 F along Balkeswar Road here in Agra. We mostly deal with bangles and related items. It’s a small operation, really. Most of our day is spent carefully handling glass and metal pieces because they can be quite fragile if you aren't paying attention. We don't have a fancy showroom with expensive carpets. It’s more of a practical space where we keep our inventory organized in old boxes and small plastic bins. The area around us is quite residential, so we see a lot of the same faces every week. It’s nice to have that connection with the neighborhood. We started doing this because it’s what we know how to do. There’s no big corporate office or complicated rules for us to follow. We just open up in the morning and see who comes by looking for a gift. Sometimes the dust from the road gets in when the wind blows, so we spend a lot of time wiping down the glass display cases. It’s honest work. We have to be very patient when people are picking out colors to match their wedding clothes. It takes time to find the exact right shade of green or red among the thousands we have. We don't mind the wait at all. It is just part of the job. Being in Agra, we get some visitors too, but mostly it's just the locals who live a few streets away.
