Naz Fashion

You can find Naz Fashion over at 223, Khatakpura Izzat Khan. It is a lively neighborhood with lots of narrow lanes and people moving about all day. Our shop isn't very big, so we have to be clever about how we store all the fabric and finished pieces. There is always the sound of scissors cutting through cloth or the hum of a sewing machine in the background. We have rolls of different materials stacked up against the walls, sometimes reaching all the way to the ceiling. It’s a bit messy, but we know exactly where everything is. The lighting inside is bright so we can see the small details of the work. Often, we are here late into the evening trying to finish a specific order. Neighbors often pop their heads in to say hello or to see what new designs we are working on. We don’t have a big window display like the shops in the malls. People usually find us through word of mouth or because they live nearby. We focus on the stitching and the fit. It’s a lot of manual work and our hands are often tired by the end of the day. We drink a lot of tea to keep us going through the long afternoon hours. It is a simple business, run by people who actually enjoy working with their hands and making something real. We don't have a computer for billing, we just write it all down in a big notebook.
