Malhotra Shoe Center

We have our shoe shop, Malhotra Shoe Center, over at 20 Master Plan Road in New Lajpat Kunj. It is a decent neighborhood and we have a lot of local people who come to us for their footwear. We have been here since the area started developing more. The shop is filled with all sorts of shoes for men, women, and kids. We try to keep a good variety on the shelves so there is something for everyone. The street outside is usually quiet in the mornings but picks up in the evening when people are coming home from work. We have a few mirrors around so people can see how the shoes look, and some old stools for them to sit on while they try things on. Sometimes the air conditioner acts up, but we usually just open the door to let the breeze in. It is a family-run place and we take turns being behind the counter. We know a lot of the families in New Lajpat Kunj by name because they have been buying from us for a long time. It is nice to see the neighborhood grow around us. We don't do anything flashy to get attention. We just open up the shutters every morning and wait for people to stop by. It’s a simple way to make a living and we are happy with how things are going on Master Plan Road and the surrounding streets.
