Alina Footwear

Alina Footwear is over in Bhim Nagar. Our place is 46/95/35 in Jagdish Pura. It’s a bit hard to find if you aren't from around here. We make and sell shoes. The shop is small and smells like leather and glue. We have piles of boxes everywhere. Sometimes you can barely see the walls. We have some workers in the back who have been with us for a long time. They know their jobs well. We don't have a fancy showroom. It's just a place where we get things done. We see a lot of locals coming in for a pair of shoes. We try to make things that last. The street outside is narrow and can get quite muddy when it rains. We spend a lot of time cleaning the floor. The kids from the neighborhood often run past the door. We have a small radio that plays music while we work. It’s not a quiet place but it’s home. We don't do much advertising. People just know where we are. We check every pair before it goes into the box. Sometimes the materials are late so we have to wait around. But usually, we are quite busy. It’s a family thing. We just want to make decent footwear for people to wear every day. The work is steady and that is all we need. We usually close up once the sun goes down.
