Kohinoor Carpets

Our workshop and office are at 6/127 Belanganj. Kohinoor Carpets has been here for years, and the building shows its age a bit. We have carpets stacked everywhere, which makes the air smell a certain way—not bad, just like old wool and dust. It’s a very hands-on environment. We spend our days checking weaves and talking to the people who make them. Belanganj is a busy area, and there’s always something happening outside our door. We don't have a fancy showroom with bright lights. Most people come here to see the actual work being done. Sometimes the floor is covered in loose threads and scraps of yarn. We don’t mind it because it shows we are actually doing something. The sunlight comes in through the high windows in the afternoon, which is the best time to check the colors. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in the world. We just like carpets and we know how to handle them. It’s a family business, really. We have our disagreements and we have our good days. We don't use any fancy sales talk. We just show the carpets and let people decide for themselves. It’s a simple way to live and work. We have been doing this for a long time now.
