Our store is Kishan Steel And Iron Store. We are located right on the Mathura By-Pass Road. It’s a good spot because the big trucks can get to us easily without having to go through the narrow city streets. We are quite close to the Anokhi Hotel, so that is usually how we tell people to find us if they get lost. The Post Office in Penghore is also nearby. Dealing with steel and iron is heavy, dirty work. Most of the day is spent using the crane or just manually moving bars around. It’s not a place for clean clothes, that’s for sure. My hands are usually covered in rust or grease by noon. We get a lot of contractors coming in for their site supplies. The bypass road is always humming with the sound of traffic, so you never really get any quiet. We don't mind it though. It’s just how it is working out here. We have a small office where we keep the books, but mostly we are outside in the yard. Sometimes we sit and have tea with the drivers while they wait for their loads to be ready. There isn't much to say about us other than we work hard and we have the steel people need. We don't use big words or fancy promises. If we have it in stock, we tell you. If we don't, we tell you when it’s coming. It’s a simple way to do things.
