Kiran Stone & Handicraft

Kiran Stone & Handicraft is located at 37/17E, Gwalior Road. We are in the Bandu Katra area, right near the Syndicate Bank. It’s pretty easy to spot because of the stone pieces sitting out front. It’s a bit of a rough-and-tumble place. We have heavy stones and various handicrafts stacked up in the yard and inside the shop. Moving things around takes a lot of effort and usually a couple of people to lift. It’s definitely not a polished showroom. The floor is mostly concrete and there’s always a bit of grit underfoot. The traffic on Gwalior Road can be pretty loud, especially with the big trucks going by all the time. We’re usually busy talking to people who stop by looking for something for their garden or their new home. We don't have a lot of fancy talk or sales pitches. We just show you what we have and tell you the price. The sun hits the front of the shop pretty hard in the afternoon, so we try to stay in the shade when we can. It’s honest, hard work. Most of the stuff we have is quite heavy, so we spend a lot of time loading things onto tempos for delivery. We’ve been in this spot for quite a while now. Everyone around Bandu Katra knows where the bank is, so they find us pretty easily. It’s just a basic stone shop, nothing more to it than that. We just work until the sun goes down and close up the gate.
