If you go down to Laxmi Market in Belan Ganj you will find us there. Agra is a city with many narrow lanes and our shop is tucked into one of those busy areas. We deal mostly in shringar items which means things like bangles and bindis and small pieces of jewelry that women wear. It is a small place but every inch of the walls is covered with boxes. Sometimes it takes a minute to find the exact shade of lipstick or the right size of bangles that a customer is looking for. The market is always loud with people talking and rickshaws honking their horns outside. We have been here in this district for a long time. My family has always lived around here so we know the local rhythms. It gets especially crowded during the wedding season or when there is a festival coming up. We don't have a lot of helpers just a couple of us working behind the counter. The lighting inside could be better but we do our best with what we have. Most of our customers are women from the neighborhood who have been coming to us since they were young. They like to stay and chat for a bit while they look at the new stock. It is not a high-end boutique or anything fancy like that. It is just a local shop where you can get your daily beauty essentials without any fuss.
