Indus Garments

We've been here in Ajit Nagar for a good while now. Agra is known for many things, but we just focus on our day-to-day work here at Indus Garments. The shop isn't anything fancy, just a place where we get things done and talk to the people who walk in. Some days it gets pretty hot in Uttar Pradesh, so we try to keep the fans going and stay busy with the orders. We handle a lot of different clothes and fabrics throughout the week. It’s mostly just us making sure the stacks are right and the counts match up at the end of the day. People around here know the 282001 area can get crowded, especially during the peak hours, so we’ve learned to manage the timing. We don't spend much time on the computer or writing fancy things about ourselves. Most of the time is spent checking the stitching or talking to the suppliers who come by. It’s a practical life, really. My uncle started things off and now we just keep the momentum going without trying to change too much. Sometimes the power goes out, or the shipment is late, and we just deal with it as it comes. It's just a regular business on a regular street in Agra. We don’t have a big team, just a few of us who have been doing this for years. We know the neighbors and they know what we do. That’s about it for us.
