Decor Craft India

Our workshop, Decor Craft India, is situated at 28/289-C in Gokulpura, Raja Mandi. It is an old neighborhood and the streets can be quite tight. If you are driving a big car, you might have a bit of trouble getting right to the door. We have been here in Gokulpura for a long time. The building is an older style, and we use most of the space for our craft work. There is always the sound of tools and people moving things around. The floors are a bit uneven and there is dust from the materials we use, but that’s just how a craft place is. We don’t have a fancy showroom. Most of the time, the space is filled with whatever we are working on at the moment. The staff consists of local people who know the trade well. We sit together and work on the pieces, often chatting about the neighborhood or family. In Raja Mandi, everyone knows everyone. We get our supplies from the nearby markets. The air is often thick with the smell of the city and the materials in our shop. It’s a practical environment. We don’t spend money on expensive furniture for the office. We would rather spend it on the tools we need. It’s a humble place, but we get the jobs done. When the sun goes down, we lock up the heavy doors and head home like everyone else in Gokulpura.
