Chandra Craft Palace

You can find us at 159 Garden Road over in the Baluganj area. Chandra Craft Palace has been operating from this same spot for a good number of years. It’s a pretty easy place to find if you’re familiar with the neighborhood. The building is older, but it has a lot of character and we’ve made it our own. We don’t have a massive staff, just a small group of us who handle everything from cleaning the floors to talking to visitors. It’s a very hands-on kind of environment. We don’t use any big fancy words to describe what we do. We just come in, get the work started, and stay until it’s finished. Garden Road is usually quite lively, which keeps things interesting for us throughout the day. We don’t have any polished marketing brochures or anything like that. If someone wants to know about us, they usually just walk through the door and ask. We prefer it that way. It’s more personal. We’ve had some of the same people working here since the beginning, so we’re more like a family than a business. Baluganj is a nice place to be based, and we feel lucky to have our space at number 159. We just keep our heads down, do the work, and try to make sure everything is in order before we lock up at night. It's not a flashy life, but it works for us.
