You can find us at House Number 1-94 in Telweda village, which is part of the Nirmal area. It is a rural spot, so things move a bit slower than in the big cities. We handle transport work, mostly moving goods from one village to another or taking loads out to the main highway. My father started this with just one old truck, and we have been keeping it going ever since. The house is right on the main road, so it is easy for the drivers to pull in and park. There is always a bit of oil on the ground and the smell of diesel in the air. We spend a lot of our time on the phone, checking where the lorries are and if the roads are clear. Nirmal gets a lot of rain in the monsoon, which makes the village roads a mess, so we have to plan carefully. It is a lot of waiting around for loads to be ready and then long hours of driving through the night. We eat at the local dhabas and know most of the other transport guys on this route. It is a tough life sometimes, but it is what we know. We do not have a fancy office with computers. Just a desk, a couple of notebooks, and a lot of keys hanging on the wall. We just focus on getting the cargo delivered on time.
