Balika Fashionjewellery is situated at 5-9-228 on Chirag Ali Lane in the Abids area. If you know Abids, you know how busy the streets get with people walking up and down all day. Our shop is right in the middle of that energy. We have glass counters filled with all sorts of necklaces, bangles, and earrings that catch the light. It takes a lot of time every morning to set everything out just right so people can see the details. The shop isn't very big, so when three or four people come in at once, it starts feeling quite full. We spend a lot of time cleaning fingerprints off the glass because everyone wants to get a close look at the pieces. Sometimes the lights get a bit hot, but it makes the stones shine better. Most of the folks who walk in are looking for something to wear to a wedding or just a small gift for a friend. We talk to everyone who comes through the door, mostly about what they are looking for or just how the weather is changing. Abids has a lot of history, and being on Chirag Ali Lane feels like being part of that old city vibe. We keep the drawers organized as best as we can, though sometimes things get mixed up during the lunch rush. It is a steady way to spend the day, surrounded by pretty things and the sounds of the street.
