Steel Fab

Our shop, Steel Fab, is located at House-B-1256 in Yamunavihar. We are very easy to find because we are right near the local Government School. You can often hear the kids playing during recess or the school bell ringing while we are working on our various projects. The shop is part of the building and it’s where we store all our equipment and the metal materials we buy. We do a lot of fabrication work, mostly stuff that people need for their homes like window grills or small gates. The space is a bit cramped inside because we have to fit in the welding machines and the long pieces of raw steel. We often work with the doors wide open so we get some natural light and fresh air. It gets pretty loud when the grinders are running, so we try to do the heaviest work when it won't bother the neighbors too much during the day. There is always a pile of scrap metal in the corner that we eventually clear out once it gets too big. Our hands stay dirty most of the day from handling the raw steel and the oil. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. If you come by, you’ll just see us working on the floor. We usually have some tea around four o’clock and take a short break to rest our backs. It is a simple life and we’ve been here in Yamunavihar for a good while. People around here know us as the local guys who fix things.
