Narhera Producer Company Limited

We run our company out of house number 43 in Narhera, which is Jangvir Singh’s place. We are located in the Pataudi area. Even though we are close to the big city of Gurgaon, our lives are still very much about the village and the fields. We are a producer company, but that just means we are neighbors who work together. We figured that if we pooled our resources, we could get better prices for our seeds and our crops. It’s a lot of physical work and we don't spend much time sitting at desks. Usually, we meet in the courtyard or under a tree to discuss the wheat or mustard. Gurgaon is growing fast and getting very modern, but here in Narhera, we still do things the way they’ve always been done. This company is our way of handling the business side so no one gets taken advantage of. It’s not a very polished operation and we are still learning a lot about the rules and the paperwork. But we know the soil better than anyone. If you come by the village, you’ll find us easily enough. We are just trying to keep the tradition of farming alive while making it work in the modern world. It’s a simple life for simple people in a small village.
