You can find Chopal Timber Co right on the Yamuna Nagar Road in Jagadhri. We are directly opposite the Dimple Cineplex, which makes us pretty easy to locate if you are coming from out of town. The yard is usually full of wood piles and the smell of fresh sawdust is everywhere. We’ve been here for quite some time, and the building has seen better days, but it does what it needs to do. There is a small office near the front where we keep the ledgers and the old telephone. Most of the work happens outside under the sheds where the cutting is done. It gets quite loud when the saws are running, so we usually have to shout a bit to be heard. We see a lot of people coming by looking for specific cuts of wood for their homes or shops. We don't have a fancy website or a glossy catalog to show people. Usually, someone just walks in and asks what we have in stock today. The traffic on Yamuna Nagar Road can be a bit of a headache during the peak hours, especially with the movie theater across the street, but we managed to get used to it. The staff here knows their wood types by heart. We just try to give people what they ask for and keep the piles organized as much as we can in the limited space we have. The cat from the neighboring shop often hangs out near our wood piles.
