Indian Organic Farmers Producer Company Limited

This place is over at 7-11-86 on Akkamahadevi Road in Afzalpur. It's more like a gathering spot for the local farmers than a typical company office. We mostly spend our time talking about the crops and how the soil is doing this year. There are a lot of us involved and we just try to help each other out with getting things to market. The building isn't anything special to look at. Inside we have some old tables and files stacked up everywhere. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons so we usually have the fans going full blast. People come in from the fields with dirt on their clothes and we sit down to figure out the logistics of moving the harvest. It's a lot of talk about rain and pests and what the prices are doing in the bigger towns. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. Most of what we do is just common sense and working together because it's easier that way. Sometimes things go wrong with the transport or the weather and we just have to deal with it as it comes. It's not a fancy life but it feels right to be working with the land. We've been in this part of Afzalpur for a while now and most of the neighbors know what we are up to. We just keep things moving.
