Mayflower Farming Estates LLP is tucked away in East Patel Nagar. Our office is at 6/3, and we’re down in the L.G.F., which stands for Lower Ground Floor. It’s a bit quieter down there, away from the main noise of the street, though you can still hear the cars passing by 110008. We focus on farming estates, which means a lot of our time is spent looking at land records and planning out what needs to happen on the various plots. Working from a basement office in New Delhi has its own feel. It stays a little cooler, which is nice, but we definitely rely on the overhead lights. We aren’t a huge corporation with a glass building; it’s just a practical space where we can get our work done without too many distractions. Most of the staff has been around for a while, so we know the routine pretty well. We handle the paperwork, talk to the field managers, and try to keep the estates running as they should. Sometimes it feels like we’re drowning in documents, but that’s just the nature of the estate business. We don’t put on any acts here. If you visit, you’ll see us in our normal clothes, probably drinking tea and trying to sort out a scheduling conflict or a land issue. It’s a basic setup in a busy part of the city, and it works for what we do every day.
