We operate out of a local house, which gives us a lot of room to work without the stiffness of a commercial building. It’s a quiet street for the most part, though you hear the occasional rickshaw or motorcycle passing by. We’ve been here for a long time, and the building has seen better days, but it’s sturdy and serves its purpose. We have a few rooms set up for our different tasks. There isn't a lot of decorative stuff on the walls, just calendars and some old notes. We drink a lot of tea, as is common around here. Kharida Bidhanpally is a friendly place. Most people know who we are and what we do. We don't use big words or fancy titles when we talk to each other. It’s just work, and we do it as best as we can. Sometimes the monsoon rain hits hard and we have to make sure the roof isn't leaking, but that’s just part of life in Bengal.
