Raghu Traders

You can find Raghu Traders over at 5-19-88 on the Main Road in Chintaparru. It is a pretty straightforward setup we have here. We deal with trading various goods, mostly things that local builders and farmers might need on short notice. The Main Road is always dusty because of the tractors and trucks going by, so we are constantly dusting off the shelves. I took over the place from my father, and not much has changed since then, except maybe the prices of things. We have a big ledger where we write everything down by hand. Some people tell me I should use a computer, but I like seeing the ink on the paper. It feels more real that way. The shop is usually open from sunrise until late evening. We get a lot of regulars who come in not just to buy things, but to catch up on the local news. I keep a few chairs out front for that very reason. It gets a bit hectic during the harvest season when everyone needs supplies at the same time, but we manage to get through it. My wife sometimes brings me lunch from home, and we eat in the back among the sacks and boxes. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s a steady one. We just try to be fair with everyone and keep the shelves stocked with the basics that keep the village running. Most days are okay as long as the weather stays clear.
