Jagannath Traders

Jagannath Traders is out here in Nidamarru, near Eluru. We’ve been operating in this area for a good bit of time. If you come out this way, you’ll see our warehouse. It’s mostly just a big open space for storing stuff before it gets moved out. We handle a lot of local trade, things like grains or whatever is in season. The floor is usually covered in some kind of dust from the sacks. It’s a loud place when the trucks are loading. The drivers come in at all hours and we have to be ready to sign the papers. My desk is tucked in a corner where it’s a little quieter. Eluru is a busy spot for trading so we are always talking to people from the surrounding villages. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to work by the light from the door. It’s not a polished business office. We wear old clothes because everything gets dirty within an hour. We have a small crew of guys who help with the heavy lifting. They’ve been with us for years and we all just get along. We don't spend money on advertising because everyone around here already knows who we are. We just focus on getting the goods from one place to another without too much trouble. It’s honest work and it keeps the lights on.
