Chaitanya Super Market

Chaitanya Super Market is out in Jaggannapeta, over in West Godavari. Our shop is at number 598. It’s a pretty basic place where we sell everything from soap to big bags of rice. Being in West Godavari, we get a lot of people who work in the fields coming in. They usually want things in larger quantities. The floor is concrete and we have these tall metal racks that we keep meaning to reorganize but never quite get around to. Jaggannapeta is not a huge place, so we know most of the people who walk through the door. We don't have fancy lights or a big glass front. It’s just a wide entrance with the counter right there so we can see everyone. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just use flashlights and keep selling. We write down the prices on some items with a marker pen. The stock comes in on big lorries that park right on the dusty road outside. We spend the afternoons sitting on plastic chairs when it’s slow, just watching the traffic go by. It’s a simple business at 598 Jaggannapeta. We don't bother with any of those modern marketing tricks. If we have it, we sell it. If we don't, we tell you when it’s coming. That is just how we do things here every day, without much fuss or any unnecessary complications.
