Wasterd Jeans

Wasterd Jeans is our little shop. We are at Shop No. 1, right across from Metro Poll No. 375 at the Main Nangloi Chowk. We are in the Punjabi Basti area. It’s a very busy spot because of the metro and the main road. There are always people walking by. We sell jeans and some other clothes too. The shop is small, so we have to use all the wall space to hang things up. It can get a bit cramped when a few people come in at once. We’ve been here for a while. Nangloi is a loud place, with the sounds of the metro and the traffic all day. We mostly get people who are passing through or locals from Punjabi Basti. We don't have any fancy displays or lights. Just the racks of jeans and a mirror for people to see how they look. We try to keep things simple. Dealing with clothes means you’re always folding things and putting them back on the shelf. It’s a lot of repetitive work, but we like talking to the customers. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit since we started. The metro being right there has brought a lot more people to the area. We just keep our heads down and run the shop. It's a decent way to make a living and we know our neighbors well. We usually open up in the morning and stay open late for the commuters. It's just a regular local clothes shop.
