We’ve been at F-115 in Vikas Puri for quite some time now. It’s not a fancy place, just where we get the work done every day. Most people around here know the building. We focus on fashions, which means a lot of looking at samples and making sure things are packed right. Some mornings the tea guy comes by and that’s when we actually take a break. It gets crowded with all the stock piled up, but we know where everything is. Running a business like Shabnam Fashions isn't always smooth. There are delays with deliveries or sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon. We just deal with it. It’s mostly family and a few helpers working here. We don't have a big reception or anything. You just walk in and see people busy with sewing or checking labels. Vikas Puri is a busy area, so there’s always noise from the street. We try to keep things moving so the orders go out on time. It’s a lot of manual work, really. Sometimes we stay late when a big shipment is due. My cousin helps with the accounts on weekends. It’s just how we do things here. Nothing too complicated, just a lot of fabric and trying to stay on top of the pile. We’ve seen the neighborhood change over the years, but our spot stays pretty much the same. It’s home for us during the work week.
