Our office is located in Sarita Vihar, at J-264 to be exact. It’s a nice enough area, though parking can be a real headache if you arrive after ten in the morning. We do software work here, which mostly means a lot of clicking and typing in a room that stays fairly quiet. Vistaar Software Solutions isn't some giant tech firm with a glass lobby. It’s more of a homey environment where we can actually hear ourselves think. We have a few desks pushed together and some whiteboards that are covered in scribbles that only we really understand. The air conditioning works most of the time, which is a blessing during the Delhi summers. We usually take turns going out to get snacks or lunch from the local shops nearby. There’s a lot of greenery around J-block, so it doesn't feel as grey as some other parts of the city. We spend our days looking at code and trying to fix bugs that shouldn't be there in the first place. It’s honest work, and we don’t try to make it sound like more than it is. Sometimes we stay late when a project is due, and the sound of the neighborhood settling down for the night is actually quite calming. We just like having a steady place to work where we know the neighbors and the guy at the corner store knows our names and what we usually order.
