Vinod Food Products is out in Mundka Udyog Ksheir at 52/3/2. Being in Mundka means we’re a bit far out from the main city, but there’s plenty of space for what we do. Our unit is where we process and pack various food items. We have to keep things a bit cleaner than the typical workshop, so there’s a lot of washing up and sweeping involved. It’s not a high-tech factory; it’s more of a manual setup with some basic machinery to help with the bagging. We have a small group of local people who come in every morning to help with the packing. The smell of whatever we’re processing that day usually fills the whole area, whether it’s spices or snacks. We don’t have a marketing department or any big advertisements. Most of what we make goes to local wholesalers who then distribute it further. Our office is just a table and a couple of chairs near the main entrance where we keep track of the accounts. It’s a simple operation, and we like it that way. The road outside can get quite muddy during the rains, which makes logistics a bit of a headache, but we manage. We just focus on getting the bags sealed and the boxes stacked so the truck can leave on time. It’s a steady rhythm we’ve developed over the years.
