We are located at D-975 in the D.D. Flats in Binda Pur, which is over in Dwarka Pocket-3. It’s a bit of a residential area, so having a spice business here means the neighbors definitely know when we are working. The air inside the flat usually has a bit of a kick to it from the peppers and the turmeric we handle. You get used to the sneezing after a while, I suppose. It’s not a giant factory with conveyor belts; it’s more of a local operation where we do things by hand or with smaller machines. The rooms are filled with sacks of raw spices waiting to be sorted or ground down. We spend a lot of time just weighing things out on the scales and filling up plastic packets. The floors are always a bit yellow from the spice dust, and no matter how much we clean, it always comes back the next day. Dwarka can get pretty dusty on its own, so we are always wiping down the counters. We don't have any fancy signage or a big lobby. You just come into the flat and see us working. It is a practical way to run things, and it keeps us close to the local market. Most of our day is spent talking to suppliers or making sure the bags are sealed properly so the freshness stays inside. It's just a regular day-to-day grind for us. We just keep our heads down and get the orders out.
