Vikram Rathor

I’m Vikram Rathor and I’ve got my place set up over in Najafgarh, specifically in Ajay Park on Street Number 6. If you know New Delhi-43, you know it can get pretty crowded around Naya Bazar. My spot is A-60, which is right near the BVM Public School. You can usually hear the kids playing or the school bells ringing throughout the day. It makes the area feel alive. I started this because I wanted something of my own in my own neighborhood. It’s been a few years now, and the routine hasn’t changed much. I open up in the morning, check on what needs doing, and wait for people to stop by. Being near the school means there’s always someone walking past the door. The street is a bit narrow, so parking can be a real headache sometimes, but we manage. I grew up around here, so I know most of the shopkeepers on this stretch. We talk about the weather or the local news while we work. My office isn't anything special to look at, just a practical space where I keep my papers and tools. I don't see the point in having a fancy office when the work happens here on the ground. It’s just me and the occasional helper keeping things moving in this part of Delhi. We just keep our heads down and do the work the best we can every day.
