Suryadeep Hospital

We have been here in Raghubir Nagar for a while now. The hospital isn't some giant glass building you see in the fancy parts of town, but it’s what we have here. People from around the neighborhood walk in at all hours. Sometimes the reception gets a bit crowded because it’s a small space, and the chairs are usually full by ten in the morning. We spend a lot of time just talking to the families who come in from nearby houses. It gets pretty loud outside with the local traffic and the street noise, but inside we try to keep things moving. Most of our day is spent checking charts or making sure the rooms are ready for whoever comes next. It’s a lot of work keeping up with the cleaning and the paperwork, especially when the power flickers, which happens more than we'd like. The doctors are around, doing their rounds and talking to patients in the wards. It's a simple setup. We don't have any of those automated machines for everything, so there is a lot of manual logging. We know most of the people who live on this street, so it feels more like a community spot than a big institution. We just focus on the basics here, getting people through the door and seeing what they need without too much fuss or extra stuff they don't really need. We keep the floors scrubbed and the lights on, and that is mostly what our day looks like.
