If you head over to Rajouri Garden in New Delhi, you’ll find our office at J-12/19. We are the Smile Interactive Technologies Group. It sounds like a big name, but we are just a group of people who enjoy working with tech and computers. The neighborhood is full of markets and shops, so there is always a lot of energy and noise around us. We spend most of our time staring at screens and typing away. Sometimes the air conditioner makes a weird humming noise, but we’ve learned to ignore it. We started this because we liked building things on the internet. It wasn't about being a big corporation; it was more about having a place to work on projects we liked. Our desks are usually covered in wires, half-empty tea cups, and notebooks full of scribbles. We don't follow a strict corporate dress code. Most days it’s just jeans and t-shirts. Rajouri Garden is a great place to be because the food around here is amazing. We often go out for a quick bite at lunch and end up talking about a bug in the code or a new idea we had. It’s a simple way of working. We aren't trying to change the world overnight. We just want to make sure the stuff we build works right for the people using it. It gets dark early in the winter, and we're often still here with our desk lamps on, trying to finish one last thing. That’s just how it goes when you’re busy with tech stuff.
