We have been here in East Patel Nagar at D-7 for a while now. Most days it is just us dealing with whatever comes through the door, usually old laptops that won't start or people needing a specific cable they can't find anywhere else. The shop isn't fancy at all. There are stacks of boxes in the corner and sometimes the main desk gets a bit cluttered with tiny screws and plastic parts from whatever we are taking apart that afternoon. It gets busy around the time people get off work, so that is when most of the talking happens. We just do what we do. If a screen is cracked or a motherboard is acting up, we look at it. There is a tea stall nearby that we visit way too often. It’s a good spot, though parking on this street can be a real headache some mornings. We have seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years, but D-7 stays pretty much the same. People come in, they ask questions, we try to figure out the problem, and that’s about it. It’s not some big high-tech lab, just a local place where we spend our days looking at monitors. Sometimes the internet is slow, or the power goes out, and we just wait it out like everyone else in the area. It is a decent living and it keeps us busy enough to stay out of trouble.
