Our place is located in Janakpuri at 37622. It’s a bit of a trek if you aren't from this side of Delhi, but we have a steady flow of local people coming in. We’ve been operating out of this spot for a good while now. The name Satirams has been with us for a long time. It’s a basic setup where we focus on getting orders out quickly to the people waiting. The kitchen is bigger than the sitting area because we do a lot of takeaway orders for families. You’ll see the staff wearing their aprons and trying to keep up with the tickets pinned to the board. It’s a bit noisy because of the exhaust fans and the sound of the pans clanking, but we've all gotten used to it over the years. Janakpuri is a busy residential area, so we get families coming in on the weekends for a treat. We don't really have a parking lot, so people just park their scooters wherever they can find a gap on the side of the street. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we haven't found the time or the money to do it yet. We just focus on keeping the counters clean and the stove going for the next order. It’s an honest business. We don't try to be something we're not. We're just here to serve the neighborhood people every single day without any fuss.
