You can find our studio at G 45 in Nand Ram Park, which is right in Uttam Nagar. It's a busy part of West Delhi, and we've been tucked away here for a bit. The space is mostly filled with drawing tablets, some half-finished sketches, and a lot of coffee mugs. We aren't a big agency with a glass front. It’s more of a workshop feel where we sit and figure out design problems. The neighborhood is always alive with people and traffic, so there’s always something going on outside our door. We decided to set up in Uttam Nagar because it’s accessible and has its own character. Most of our days are spent staring at screens or debating over colors and layouts. It's not always pretty; things get messy when we are in the middle of a project. We don't have a receptionist, so if someone knocks, one of us just gets up to open the door. We handle all sorts of design work, trying to make things look decent for whoever asks. The office has a few plants that we sometimes forget to water, but they survive. It’s a practical workspace, not a showroom. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait for the backup to kick in, which is just part of living in Uttam Nagar. We have a small kettle for making coffee when the work gets late. It’s not a fancy life, but we like being our own bosses here.
