Rlkc Hospital Metro Heart Institute is located right here on Naraina Road. If you are from Pandav Nagar, you have probably passed by the building a hundred times while doing your errands. It’s a big part of the local scenery at this point. The place stays open all hours because that is just how it works with heart institutes. There is always someone at the desk and the lights are never really off. The hallways are long and have that specific hospital smell that everyone recognizes. We have nurses who have been here since the place opened up. It gets a bit hectic on Monday mornings. Everyone seems to show up at the same time then. The parking area is a bit tight, so you have to be careful when pulling in from the main road. We see people from all over this side of the city. It’s not a quiet place by any means. There is always a trolley being pushed somewhere or a phone ringing at a station. Sometimes the elevator takes a minute longer than you’d like. We just deal with it. The neighborhood around Pandav Nagar is pretty lively, so there is always noise from the street coming in through the front doors. It feels like a real community spot where people actually know each other. It’s not perfect, but it is where we work every day and we make it work for everyone who walks in.
