Our office is in Balrama House, specifically M-3, inside the Karmapura Complex. It’s a busy place with a lot of other businesses around us. We deal with instruments and the servicing that goes along with them. Mostly, it's technical stuff. We have benches set up with tools and testing equipment. People bring in things that aren't working right, and we try to figure out why. It takes some patience to look at small parts and wires all day. Sometimes the air conditioning in the complex acts up, and it gets a bit warm while we’re working. We’ve been in this spot for a while now. The walls are covered with calendars and some old notes we’ve tacked up. It's not a showroom. It’s a place where work actually happens. We drink a lot of tea while we go over service manuals. If you need something fixed, you usually have to leave it with us for a few days. We try to be quick, but some jobs are trickier than others. The stairs up to our floor are a bit narrow, so we tell people to be careful when they carry their equipment up. We know most of the other guys working in the complex. It feels like a little community here. We just show up every morning and get through the list of repairs and orders we have for the day. It’s simple work but it keeps us very occupied.
