Our place is at B-11 in Phase-II of the Mayapuri Industrial Area. If you know Mayapuri, you know it is crowded and the roads are always full of delivery vans and scrap dealers. We deal with labels here. There is usually a faint smell of ink and adhesive in the air that you just get used to after the first week. The machines are a bit old, but they keep running as long as we treat them right. We spend a lot of time checking rolls of paper and making sure the colors look okay under the tube lights. It gets pretty loud when everything is running at once, so we have to shout a bit to be heard. We’ve got a small staff, and most of us have been here for years. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to get the labels printed and shipped out on time so the customers don't call us complaining. The office area has a few calendars on the wall and a lot of coffee mugs sitting around. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, and we all just sit outside on the steps until it comes back on. It is a simple life, really. We just focus on the work in front of us and try to keep things moving.
