Pace India

Pace India is located at 71/3 on Rama Road. We are right by the Kirti Nagar Metro Station, inside the DHL Building. Being so close to the metro means there is always a crowd of people walking past our entrance. You can hear the trains rumbling every few minutes if you listen closely. Our office is a bit of a mix of things. We have some metal shelves that are sagging under the weight of catalogs and old samples. The floor is that grey tile that never really looks clean even after it is mopped. We spend most of our mornings drinking tea and going through the mail. There is a lot of light because of the big windows, which is nice on cloudy days. The building has a lot of activity because of the other tenants. Sometimes the elevator takes forever, so we just take the stairs. It is a lot of walking back and forth. We have a small desk near the door for visitors, but it is mostly covered in magazines. It is not the most organized place, but we know where everything is. The noise from Rama Road is constant, like a background hum that never stops. We have a small fan on every desk because the main cooling does not always reach the corners. It is just how we work here, day in and day out, trying to stay ahead of the paperwork.
