Nanak Sewing Machine

Our shop, Nanak Sewing Machine, is over at Wz-508/1 on Basai Darapur Main Road. If you're looking for us, we are right behind the government school. It’s a good landmark because everyone knows where the school is. The main road is always noisy with cars and bikes, so it’s never really quiet here. We have all sorts of sewing machines sitting around, some old and some newer ones. Most of the time, we are busy fixing tensions or replacing needles and motors. It’s a lot of sitting at the bench and looking at tiny parts. The shop isn't very large, so we have to stack boxes wherever they fit. Sometimes the floor is covered in thread and bits of fabric. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who know how these machines work. We’ve seen all kinds of problems over the years. We just open up in the morning and see who comes by with a machine that isn't stitching right. Being behind the government school means we see the kids coming and going every day. It’s a very local vibe. We don’t do any fancy marketing. People just walk in because they saw the sign or heard about us from a neighbor. We just do the repairs and sell the parts we have in stock. It’s a simple way to make a living and we’ve been at it for quite a while now.
