Medbros-Shock Absorbers

The shop is located at No. 10/48 Punjabi Bagh. You can usually find a few of us standing around the back with grease on our hands because that’s just how the work goes here. Medbros-Shock Absorbers has been around this part of town for a good while, and we’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit. Inside the shop, there are shelves filled with shock absorbers and heavy metal parts that have been sitting there for months. It smells like machine oil and old rubber most of the time. We don't have a fancy waiting room with magazines or a water cooler that actually works well. Most of the day is spent checking parts and making sure the inventory matches what we have written down in the ledger. The floor is concrete and has a few cracks that we’ve just gotten used to over the years. When the sun hits the front window in the afternoon, it gets pretty warm, so we usually keep the door propped open with a brick. People from the nearby shops stop by to say hello or ask for a spare tool. It’s not the quietest place to work with all the traffic outside in Punjabi Bagh, but we manage to get through the day without too much trouble. We just focus on the task in front of us and try to keep things moving without too much fuss or extra talk, just doing the basic work needed to keep the doors open.
